V Delicious & Allergy+Free From Show Top Food Finds

The all new ‘veggie good food show’, V-Delicious was a great experience for vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Apart from perhaps a bit too small a venue for the amount of people, the information, tasters, products, seminars and atmosphere was triumphant and was an excellent day out. The show also teamed with the Allergy + Free From Show which showcased brands and producers from gluten free foods to eczema friendly skincare. With such an incredible array of exhibits from both shows, I cannot wait for the next one!

Oh I wish I’d been able to go! I had a ticket and everything, but unfortunately one of my exams was moved to the Saturday and messed everything up. It looks like it was full of goodies. I will try and make it to the next one. Thanks for sharing your finds.

    I went, I went!

I really enjoyed it but I agree that the venue was a little too small for the amount of vendors/people and I was disappointed that you couldn’t buy actual meals there. BUT there were loads of great stalls and demos, I discovered a few new brands and I bought some tasty treats! 😀

I loved discovering new brands too – and I loved all the hand cream testers! My skin has never felt so soft! And did you try anything from the Honest Carrot?

Re the venue – I’m hoping it was a first year trial error and next year will be better. It was quite awful at times and in some areas and how wheelchairs and pushchairs managed I’ll never know but I doubt they had as much enjoyment as they could’ve done. I took my 10 year old sister with me and she kept getting swallowed by the crowd! Poor bunny.

And the buying of meals – I agree totally. I went to one of those cafe’s they had on the sides and got 2 small bottles of orange juice and a diet coke and it cost £8.50!!! Crazy, but we were so thirsty from the heat of the crowds I had to go with it!

      Poppy 🙂

      • More Than Greens says:

I’m not sure if I tried anything from Honest Carrot. I just looked at their website and it looks amazing so surely I would have!

I hope it was just teething problems. Maybe they didn’t realise just how popular it would be! Some of the aisles just seemed far too narrow and I couldn’t get to some stalls and just gave up.

£8.50 for 3 drinks?! That’s insane! We got free water on the way out from a giant dandelion so that was a plus!

I actually just received an email survey from V Delicious, so I filled it out with the above suggestions!

      • Poppy says:

Haha free water from a giant dandelion! That’s an experience in itself!

I’m sure you wouldn’t have passed the honest carrot – the smell was enough to lure even the most avid carnivore in!

Totally with you on giving up on some stalls – such a shame but probably made my purse happy!

I too got the email and shall do the same!

        Poppy 🙂
